| ABOUT US... | OUR PASTOR... Our pastor is Dave Kummer. Dave is a north Denver native, who graduated from North High School in 1966. He majored in physics in college and graduated from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH, in 1970. After college, Dave went to seminary, and graduated from Denver Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div., 1975; Th.M., 1981). In 1973, Dave married Linda (Corbett), whom he met at the church they were attending. In late 1973, Dave and Linda visited Mountain Valley Baptist Church, which was getting started in the north Denver neighborhood where Dave grew up. They joined in early 1974. In January, 1975, the founding pastor resigned, and Dave was called to serve as Interim Pastor. In June, after Dave received his M.Div., degree, the church called him to be their pastor, and ordained him. In 1982, Mountain Valley--which had changed its name to Mountain Valley Bible Church--merged with Edgewater Baptist Church, to form Fellowship Bible Church. Dave served as co-pastor with Pete Holdaas until 1984 when "Pastor Pete" left to plant a new church in Albuquerque, NM. Dave has served as the pastor since then. His passionate concern is that the Bible be interpreted and taught accurately and practically. Dave and Linda have three adult children, Dawn, Nathan, and Matthew.
